The 4th Degree is the Patriotic Degree. The primary purpose of this degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the country.  4th Degree Knights hold the title of Sir Knight.  The 4th Degree provide the Guards of Honor (Honor Corp) at Mass, wakes, funerals, dedications and many other civic and patriotic functions.  These Sir Knights add dignity and a pride of church and country to any event.
