Risen Christ Women’s Group was formed in 2003 to create a community for Risen Christ women through:

  † Service to the parish, the community, and to one another

  † Spiritual and educational activities

  † Christ-centered faith and fellowship through service and social activities

Membership

Women’s Group is open to any woman who is a member of the Risen Christ Catholic Community; ranging from young moms to seniors; and to women of all ages in between.

Organization

We have a self-directed team style which allows us to work as a team to carry out projects and activities. The added benefit to being part of the group is the opportunity for members to implement current skills/talents, and, to develop new ones.

When: Meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, at 7:00 p.m. A reminder is printed in the bulletin, along with any changes or special events.

Where: Meetings are held in the Risen Christ social hall but on occasion gather for meetings/events elsewhere.

Activities

We value the talents and ideas that each member brings; as well as plans for future meetings, fundraisers, and other projects.

  † Women’s Group Annual Mass

  † Guest speakers on topics of faith, fellowship, and inspiration

  † Christmas Bazaar Fundraiser

  † Donations to various parish ministries

  † Help provide food and service for Welcome and Funeral dinners; along with meals/visits and cards/prayers for parishioners who are ill.

  † Christmas Giving in December for families in need

  † Social activities such as ladies’ night out, Saturday morning coffees, ice cream social, movie night and Christmas party.

  † Tea Luncheon fundraiser, held in the spring which helps to provide funding for various ministries, groups and organizations.
