Risen Christ Council #12854
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in 1982 by Father Michael J. McGivney , assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut, and a group of parishioners. Their intent was to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. It was named in honer of the mariner Christopher Columbus. The focus of the Knights of Columbus is charity work both locally and internationally. The Knights have four principles by which all the good work we do is informed by:
Charity Unity
Fraternity Patriotism
The Risen Christ council has approximately 75 members.
Knights are Catholic men who lead, serve, protect and defend. We share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors and role models and to put charity and community first.
