In the Ash Wednesday Gospel, Matthew 6:6, Jesus said to his followers: "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

Beginning with Jesus and through the lives of the Desert Mothers & Fathers and all our great Saints the practice of contemplative prayer and lifestyle have been part of our continuing Catholic Tradition to this day. Risen Christ has formed a group that studies this tradition.
